Going to the Prom on a Budget
March 22nd, 2009 by admin

Your prom is definitely a once in a lifetime event. Most of high school students would probably go to the prom just once so this event should definitely be full of fun and happy memories. Having a great time at the prom starts with getting a fabulous outfit. The prom dress is the most important thing for the young ladies, aside from choosing who to go with to the prom. There are a lot of styles to choose from, something will definitely suit your own style. The problem now is, what if you are about to go to the prom in a really tight budget. Yes, you want to get the perfect look but with limited money to spend. What is it that you can do?

First prom advice from us when it comes to getting a gorgeous look that is at the same time inexpensive is to take time to look through the whole mall. If you can’t find anything in the mall, then try other malls. It is generally cheaper prom dresses off the rack than to have a designer make one from scratch. Dresses from the malls are not ugly and cheap looking at all! In fact, people get nice dresses from boutiques; the most important is the patience and perseverance in looking for a good dress. If you have no luck last weekend, take time to look again the next weekend. You just have to be patient until you find the perfect dress that is within your budget.

When it comes to prom shoes, this might come as another problem because shoes for formal occasions like these do not come cheap as well. If you see a fancy looking one that is too expensive, we suggest that you keep yourself away from it. You can go for the simple ones instead, nice and comfortable ones with heels that will go perfectly with your prom dresses. Usually, designer shoes or shoes that have the extra studs cost more than the simple ones. The design of the shoes isn’t important after all, it is more important that you can dance with it the whole night.

For the night itself, you don’t have to spend a couple of dollars for hair and make-up in a salon. We suggest that you get your mom or your sister, who’s good at make-up to fix you up on your special night. As for your hair, make sure that you decide days before what your hairstyle is. Then try practicing for days before so that you can get it perfectly on your prom night.
